This is a sequel of Martani to involve on
the Pesta Sains 2016. Start from Pasar Sehat Sagan in Taman Pintar Jogja
(September 24-25), invited by Warung Prancis UII on one of their serial discussion
about Makanan dan Kita (September 26), Pasar Sagan in IFI Jogja (October 8), provide
nasi tumpeng biru bunga telang for the closing ceremony of Pesta Sains Jogja (October
20) and attending this debate and film screening (October 27).
Appreciate of IFI Jogja and Jakarta to
promote healthy food for public in a nice way. Congratulation and thank you.
Presentation of Martani
- Rita has
a chance to present a photos slide continue by points of lesson learns
from Warung Pecel PSSM Martani. As a new approach, operating warung pecel
as place of living library and training center is quite challenging.
- Yusup
shares view of Martani. We provide options for public. Not everybody able
to consume gluten and GMO. There is an option of local ingredient which by
chance produce by local farmer. Big is not always good. Small but fair.
- Nicolas
from Palm Elit shows the beauty become a breeder especially on oil palm. Glad
to hear that they do conventional breeding system and not GMO one;
The Seed War
I impress with a woman farmer who clever
try to find access to local seed. She got some local corn seed that she
replants to get more seed so she can provide corn for her cattle. Smart! We
should learn from this film before the situation in Indonesia becomes worst.
- Need a
local real action to solve the seed war
- Increasing
public understanding about the situation of TNCs and the seed war now
- Create
local demand for local vegetable products of people in the city. When
there is demand, the farmer has willingness to plant local seed.
- Using
economic instruments to conserve land and water is possible by warung
kopi.
